The Texas Chapter has a rich history dating back to its inception year of 1952. We conduct two conferences each year, splitting the meetings between North and South Texas. We have no separate Chapter dues. A member in good standing with the international organization is automatically a regular member or associate member with our chapter. We welcome guest companies or individuals to attend at the same rate as the regular member meeting fee, and encourage them to consider joining the international IASA for its many benefits. The fall conference is an all day meeting held in the Dallas area at the Las Colinas Country Club, and includes a light continental breakfast and buffet lunch. It is generally held on the Friday prior to the Thanksgiving holiday and offers 8 hours of CPE credit. Dress is business casual. The summer conference is a two-day meeting generally held the last Thursday and Friday of July in the Austin or San Antonio areas. For the golfers, there is a Thursday morning scramble golf tournament. The meeting begins Thursday afternoon and extends through the evening with a reception and banquet dinner. We then meet Friday morning, which includes a light continental breakfast, and adjourn around noon. CPE for this meeting is generally 8 hours. Dress is business casual. Temperature is warm to quite warm. For both conferences we offer various sponsorships to exhibitors or regular members to help subsidize our costs and keep the registration fees as low as possible. All pricing details are included in the registration mail-out package. The Texas Chapter is a very warm, welcoming group and we invite you to come and join us. Once you do, you will come back! |
